Black Staff Association
The UCSD Black Staff Association is dedicated to creating a supportive campus environment for Black staff, faculty, and students by providing opportunities for personal interaction and meaningful involvement. The BSA offers information and development opportunities through workshops and seminars for both personal and professional development and welcomes all support and involvement.
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
An organization for African American/Black students interested in careers in the fields of engineering (computer science, electrical, etc.) NSBE is not just a technical organization - every activity conducted through chapter programs, regional conferences, and at the national convention is designed to help members bring out their best, as students, professional, leaders, and contributing members of their communities.
UJIMA Network
The Ujima Network (Collective Work and Responsibility): An Alliance of Black Faculty, Staff and Students at UCSD. UJIMA endeavors to create a medium which will foster opportunities for African American staff, faculty and students. Further, the organization will support all programs and services aimed at advancing the educational, cultural and professional conditions of these individuals internal and external to the campus community.
